Another 37 jobs are to be lost from Northern Ireland's textile industry following a reorganisation at the Craigavon firm Interface Europe. The company has announced that it is reducing its workforce of 190 people because of a decision to move part of the production to another factory in Holland. A spokesman said that Craigavon would be developed as "a centre of excellence", concentrating on turning out high quality carpet tile products, made to the customer's requirements. The production of "high volume" carpet tiles is moving to the company's plant at Scherpenzeel, because this is closer to the source of raw materials, and its main customer base.
