THE Collector General has registered a judgment against pantomime star and singer Twink for £19,000. About £5,500 of the £19,170 has been discharged since the judgment was registered on August 20th, according to Stubbs Gazette, which published details of the judgment.
The judgment was registered against Ms Adele Condron King. She told The Irish Times last night that the judgment was connected to a "major financial downfall" which she and her husband Mr David Agnew had suffered some years ago.
This is understood to be a reference to her dealings with former Irish Press solicitor Elio Malocco. She has previously said that Malocco, a close friend of the family, had gone missing with the proceeds of the sale of their first home at Anne Devlin Road, Tempelogue, Co Dublin.
Malocco is currently serving a five year sentence for fraud, forgery and deceit relating to £68,500 which he had been given by the Irish Press to deal with libel actions.
The 42 year old entertainer said last night that she had faced colossal legal bills from the affair which "had been a nightmare to address."
She said the process of recovery was "a very slow one" and described the judgment as one of a number of "minor hiccups along the way" which she and her husband had faced. "No doubt there will be more hiccups," she said.
Twink said last night that she still had huge legal bills to pay following her "financial downfall". Although the media had lost interest in the affair, she said "it just doesn't go away overnight".
