DROGHEDA UNITED: 1 WATERFORD UNITED: 3 Drogheda United players will be kicking themselves today after a disastrous performance at O2 Park last night allowed Waterford United to pick the points.
Drogheda open the scoring with a Stephen Gray goal on 37 minutes but Waterford's never say die attitude served them well, when 65 minutes into the game they drew level.
A high ball broke in midfield to Mark Clifford who raced almost 40 yards before shooting low past the advancing Gary Rogers and into the net.
Waterford went in front five minutes from time when a Gary O'Neill cross was tapped home by Daryl Murphy. O'Neill made sure of the points in injury time.
