Just a day after beating Ardclough in the Kildare county final, Coill Dubh coasted to a runaway win over Longford champions Clonguish in this Leinster club senior hurling first-round tie at Pearse Park yesterday.
Coill Dubh led by only 2-5 to 1-4 at the break, but two goals in a minute from Adrian McAndrew and David Hughes finished off Clonguish.
Man of the match McAndrew and substitute Hughes had scored goals for the winners in the first half, while Longford footballer Paul Barden netted for Clonguish and was the one player to pose any threat to Coill Dubh.
