The Wales coach Graham Henry continues to mine South African talent. Andy Marinos, who joined Newport from Western Province earlier this month, will play against the United States next Monday while the second-rower Tyrone Maullin will be on the bench.
The aptly named Maullin joined Swansea from Natal two years ago and has yet to qualify for Wales on residential grounds but, as Monday's friendly is not deemed to be a representative game, he is free to take part. Marinos qualifies through his maternal grandparents.
