Georgia v Samoa: Samoa have dropped their leading winger Lome Fa'atau for tomorrow's World Cup Pool C match with Georgia as a punishment for foul play
Fa'atua scored a solo try in Samoa's 60-13 win over Uruguay but spoiled his good work when he was sin-binned for a dangerous tackle on Uruguay scrumhalf Juan Campomar. Samoa coach John Boe said Fa'atua's indiscipline had cost him his place in the team but added he would be considered for the remaining Pool C matches.
"We do look harshly on yellow cards as we explained to the players that their being sin-binned could cost the team 10 points," Boe said.
Fa'atau was replaced by Ron Fanuatanu while replacement flanker Des Tuiavi'i lost his spot on the bench to Siaosi Vaili.
"Siaosi is a big strong number six while Des is more mobile," Boe said. "It's not about picking the best 15 players. It's about selecting the best combinations."
Georgian captain Ilia Zedguinidze has been passed fit to lead his side against Samoa after missing the opening match against England with a fractured skull.
The number eight sustained the injury playing against Italy in a pre-World Cup warm-up and sat on the sidelines last Sunday as his team were thrashed 84-6.
Zedguinidze is one of four changes in the starting line-up. Into the front row comes Sosso Nikolaenko, Vano Nadiradze gets a start at lock while Badri Khekhelashvili takes over as full back
