Clare SF Final: Kilrush Shamrocks 2-5 St Senan's Kilkee 0-11 A rip-roaring finish at Cusack Park, Ennis, saw St Senan's grab a dramatic equaliser deep into injury time. Denis Russell calmly slotted a 50-metre free with the last kick of the game.
This was a fine game played in front of 5,000 in bad weather. But the conditions did not dampen the spirits of two lively sides and in the end a draw was a fair result.
Kilrush were in front by 1-3 to 0-1 after 17 minutes. Rory Cussen scored the goal, when he was put through by Noel Griffin. But Kilkee replied with four points, to leave the narrowest of margins between them at the break.
