Shamrock Rovers confirmed yesterday midfielder Marc Kenny had been placed on the transfer list after making it clear he wanted to leave as the squad finished up training on Thursday evening.
The 29-year-old, who joined the Dubliners from Glenavon nearly seven years ago, has become increasingly peripheral at the club over the past couple of seasons.
Despite possessing excellent technical ability and being one of the best free-kick takers in the league, the Dubliner has been unable to hold down a first-team place and despite surviving difficult spells at the club before he finally appears resigned to moving on.
Liam Buckley, meanwhile, hopes to have a full-strength squad for tomorrow's game at Dalymount Park, with Alan Reynolds (groin strain) the only doubt for the visiting team.
Stephen Kenny will be without Paul McNally, and the Bohemians manager admits that the league champions have to improve defensively if they are going to bounce back from Tuesday's defeat in Cork
He also stressed, however, that he had never been one to panic after losing a game - "and I hope I'm not going to start now".
"We do have to pull ourselves together at the back, though. We made a couple of bad mistakes in Cork and they cost us dearly."
Robbie Doyle and Andrei Pereplyotkin will again be in contention for a start in the Bohemians team tomorrow, with Kenny admitting the pair have continually impressed him over the past couple of weeks.
Longford manager Alan Matthews should have Stephen O'Brien back after a bout of flu for this evening's visit of Cork City, while Cork manager Pat Dolan is expected to field a side unchanged from the one that beat the champions in midweek.
