News: Bryan Robson returned to management after a three-year absence yesterday when he joined Bradford City on what is believed to be a short-term contract.
The former Middlesbrough manager, replacing Nicky Law at the club, who have gone 11 First Division games without a win, has appointed the former Bolton and Derby manager Colin Todd as his assistant.
Liverpool will be without Republic of Ireland international Steve Finnan for a month because of a calf strain suffered against Middlesbrough on Saturday, and may also be without Florent Sinama-Pongolle, also injured against Middlesbrough, for their UEFA Cup second-round tie against Steaua Bucharest on Thursday.
Duncan Ferguson will return to training at Everton today after calling an uneasy truce with his manager David Moyes.
Moyes had barred the former Scotland striker from Bellefield for over a week after an altercation at the training complex last week. But a meeting was held yesterday after the Professional Footballers' Association pressed for a resolution to the impasse.
Ferguson is believed to have been given one last chance to prove his worth.
