It's a long way from a Leopardstown Listed to a Killarney 0-60 but a pattern might just be developing that will see Final Reminder score tonight.

Preseli was Michael Grassick's first winner of the season yesterday and afterwards he said: "I would expect her to come on because my horses have been a little slow to come to hand."

That seems to be true. Margay, for instance, improved enough for a run to finish runner-up in the German 1,000 Guineas and, in that context, Final Reminder's Cork fourth to Shanillo reads encouragingly.

A three-time career winner, Final Reminder disappointed last term, but with expected improvement from that decent Cork effort, he looks a reasonable bet to take care of a moderate field in the Weldon Handicap.
