Champions League round-up: GROUP F: Real Madrid overcame the loss of an early goal to beat Porto 3-1 and maintain their winning start in Group F.
Porto had the home fans delirious after only seven minutes when Costinha headed a rebound past Ilker Casillas after the Real goalkeeper flapped at a glancing header from Derlei. But Real, despite being outplayed for most of the opening period, equalised against the run of play when Ivan Helguera headed home a cross from Solari after 28 minutes.Real then showed the first flash of their attacking brilliance when a sweeping move from one end of the field to the other ended with Solari, standing-in for Raul, making it 2-1 after 37 minutes. Zinedine Zidane sealed the points when he volleyed home a low driven free-kick by Luis Figo after 66 minutes to make it 3-1.
Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba struck a second-half hat-trick to give Olympique Marseille a 3-0 win over 10-man Partizan Belgrade in the other group game.
GROUP G: Striker Simone Inzaghi scored twice in the second half as Lazio fought back from two goals down to salvage a 2-2 draw against Sparta Prague in the Olympic Stadium. Sparta capitalised on a lapse in concentration in the home defence in the 27th minute when striker Libor Sionko poked a high pass from former Lazio midfielder Karel Poborsky past goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi.
Poborsky was on hand again in the 36th minute when presented with a simple tap-in after Lazio failed to clear their lines. The home side were more aggressive after the break and within seconds they had pulled a goal back. Sergio Conceicao dribbled down the right and sent a low cross into the box for Inzaghi to turn past Sparta keeper Jaromir Blazek. Fourteen minutes later Inzaghi equalised from the penalty spot after being pulled down in the box by defender Petr Johana.
GROUP H: European champions AC Milan were outplayed for long periods and were fortunate to escape with a 0-0 draw against Celta Vigo at the Balaidos Stadium. Milan hardly had a shot on goal during the 90 minutes while the Galicians created a string of good opportunities but were unable to add the finishing touch to promising approach play.
Juanfran, who had an outstanding game in midfield, went close with a swerving volley on 35 minutes and team mate Alexander Mostovoi was denied by the ever-alert Milan keeper Dida on the stroke of half-time, but Celta lacked the vital sting up front.
Meanwhile, Wesley Sonck struck once in each half against his compatriots Club Bruges to give Ajax a 2-0 win in the other group game. The Belgium striker opened the scoring after 11 minutes when he left goalkeeper Tomislav Butina with no chance. Sonck doubled the lead nine minutes after the break in what looked like an offside position.
