Racing Ballinrobe report Kevin Prendergast, who saddled a double at Tipperary, brought his tally for the day to four when also sending out two winners - Twice Royal and Warrimoo - at Ballinrobe.
Twice Royal made virtually all in the two-year-old auction fillies maiden, and rallied strongly when challenged by favourite Dancing Colors in the straight to prevail by a head.
Warrimoo was an unconsidered 12 to 1 chance in the nine furlongs handicap but the three-year-old filly benefited from this step up in distance when leading entering the straight and holding on, again by a head, from The Red Fellow.
Baron Aron heads for the sales at Doncaster with his value boosted after touching off Greco in the beginners chase. Donie Hassett's charge looked booked for second place approaching the last but dug deep on the run-in for Keith Hadnett to score by a neck. "His next outing will be at the Doncaster Sales. He was going well when falling four out here last time, and I thought he had a chance today," said Hassett.
Hadnett followed up half-an-hour later when The Gallantjohnjoe denied the gambled-on High Gear by a hard-fought head in the maiden hurdle.
Simply Da Best drifted from 4 to 5 out to 7 to 4, and the Jessica Harrington-trained gelding failed to handle the rain-softened ground, trailing in ninth.
Robbie Burke is steadily re-establishing himself after a successful stint in Macau, and partnered his sixth winner of the season aboard the 9 to 1 shot Shes Flying in the nine furlongs auction maiden.
Tom Kidd's charge was prominent throughout, and struck the front over a furlong out to beat Dusty Diamond by a length.
