Club SHC Round-up: Adare thought they had done enough to qualify for their third successive Limerick senior hurling championship final yesterday until Andrew O'Shaughnessy snatched a dramatic late goal to draw the match 2-7 to 0-13.
Underdogs Kilmallock had been on terms with their opponents on six different occasions but late in the contest Conor Fitzgerald, Donnacha Sheehan and Brian Sexton opened a three-point advantage, 0-13 to 1-7
Paudge Tobin scored a cracking goal for Kilmallock after just 26 seconds of the contest, but Adare went in level at the interval 1-4 to 0-7.
In the other Limerick semi-final, Ahane were beaten 2-8 to 0-11 by Patrickswell who had second-half goals from Eoin Foley and Declan O'Grady.
Ahane, who lost Ollie Moran with a hand injury, were off colour and after Foley converted a 36th-minute penalty the writing was on the wall.
Johnny Pilkington scored 2-3 as All-Ireland champions Birr beat Kilcormac-Killoughey by 2-19 to 3-13 on Saturday to reach the Offaly hurling final, where they will meet Ballyskenagh.
Ken Ralph converted seven frees, as well as scoring a goal, on Saturday to put Clarecastle into the Clare hurling final after a 2-15 to 1-13 victory over Wolfe Tones. Ballyea will be their opponents as they defeated Éire Óg 2-12 to 2-10.
Meanwhile, Mullinahone were knocked out of the Tipperary championship as Thurles Sarsfields defeated them by 2-19 to 2-11 at the quarter-final stage.
