PREMIERSHIP: Brazilian midfielder Kleberson is likely to make his Manchester United debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers tonight (Sky Sports 2, 8 p.m.), says manager Alex Ferguson.
The World Cup winner was an unused substitute in the 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday, but has been earmarked to play at Old Trafford as the champions look to continue their 100 per cent start to the season.
In contrast, newly-promoted Wolves have had a terrible start, losing 5-1 at Blackburn Rovers on the opening day and following up with a 4-0 home defeat by Charlton Athletic on Saturday.
"Kleberson had a game against Blackburn in the reserves last week and did well," said Ferguson. " I put him on the bench at Newcastle, which gave him a chance to see the English game first hand.
"He's been training really well and I hope I can give him an opportunity against Wolves."
Kleberson is expected to feature at some point in tonight's game alongside rejuvenated United captain Roy Keane.
The Irishman has returned to form in a new, deeper midfield role this season after struggling for part of last year following his hip operation.
"Roy has been amazing so far," said Ferguson. "The lad has been absolutely brilliant. When players get older their game might lose certain things, but they also gain a great deal in other areas.
"Experience is where you really get the greatest benefit and we are seeing that with Roy. He had a big operation last season and you saw how it affected other players like Robbie Fowler and Freddie Ljungberg."
Wolves have failed to complete the signing of Brazilian midfielder Emerson in time for tonight's daunting trip to United.
A dispute between the player and his club Atletico Madrid over financial issues is threatening to scupper the deal, although Wolves remain confident of completing the deal.
Shaun Newton (hamstring), Oleg Luzhny (foot) and Dean Sturridge (thigh) are all doubts for Wolves while Kevin Cooper needs a scan on the ankle he injured at the weekend.
Michael Oakes will start in goal again with Matt Murray not recovered from his back injury while Mark Kennedy (ankle), Joleon Lescott (knee), Kenny Miller (hernia) and George Ndah (knee) remain on the long-term injury list.
Gerard Houllier insists that £5million newcomer Harry Kewell will come good as Liverpool struggle to get their season off on the right track. The Anfield club have managed just one point from their opening two games, and the critics have already turned on boss Houllier and his new Australian signing.
But against Tottenham at Anfield, Houllier will back Kewell and continue to install him as the creative focal point of the team.
Houllier, who may well be without Emile Heskey (calf) and Stephane Henchoz (ankle) against the Londoners, pleaded for Kewell to be given time to make an impact.
Kewell missed a sitter in Sunday's draw at Aston Villa and showed his talents only in flashes.
But Houllier pleaded for patience, saying: "He's new to the team and the club. Sometimes that takes a bit of time."
Houllier must decide whether to use Baros up front or push Kewell into a more attacking role and play an extra midfielder, maybe Vladimir Smicer.
Darren Anderton has been added to the Tottenham squad of 17 and manager Glenn Hoddle must decide whether to start with Saturday's match winner Frederic Kanoute or use him again as a substitute.
Gus Poyet and Robbie Keane are still missing through injuries and there is no place in the squad for Chris Perry or South African newcomer Mbuelelo Mabizela.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is deliberating whether to keep a settled line-up at home to Aston Villa.
Wenger, whose side beat Middlesbrough 4-0 on Sunday, must decide between Dennis Bergkamp and Sylvain Wiltord up front, while Kolo Toure may retain his place in defence ahead of Martin Keown.
Arsenal are definitely without Francis Jeffers, who is suspended, as well as Cygan and Senderos, who are both injured, while Giovanni van Bronckhorst has gone on a year-long loan move to Barcelona.
David O'Leary is expected to keep faith with the players who fought out a goalless draw with Liverpool at Villa Park on Sunday.
Central defender Olof Mellberg is expected to again lead the side although O'Leary has still to decide on his permanent replacement as skipper for Steve Staunton.
