CLARE SFC Kilmurry-Ibrickane 0-12 St Senan's, Kilkee 2-3: KILMURRY-IBRICKANE beat St Senan's by three points at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday and claimed back-to-back titles for the first time in their history.
The champions conceded two soft first-half goals to be 2-0 to 0-3 in arrears at the break. Kilkee’s goals came through Noel O’Shea and Gearóid Lynch.
After the restart Kilmurry tightened up and Noel Downes equalised on 51 and then Peter O’Dwyer gave the champs the lead moments later.
Kilkee replied with a Brendan Smyth point before a strong Kilmurry finish yielded three scores from Paul O’Connor, Peter O’Dwyer and a Downes free, to clinch the title.
