Kerry 1-13 Mayo 1-8 Kerry continued preparations for their June 15th clash with either Tipperary or Waterford with a smooth win over a wasteful Mayo in a senior football friendly to mark the opening of the pitch at Castlegregory on Saturday
Kerry were slow into their stride but got going in the second half and looked impressive. Eoin Brosnan excelled at centre forward and Seamus Moynihan dictated matters from centre back.
Mayo, despite facing the wind, led 1-7 to 0-7 at the interval but fell to pieces in the second half, and Declan O'Sullivan's goal on 60 minutes made it 1-12 to 1-7 and ended the game as a contest.
