Juventus are hoping Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved will shrug off a thigh injury, picked up in Saturday's win over Torino.

Nedved trained alone on Monday but the club are optimistic of him lining up in his attacking midfield role.

With French striker David Trezeguet ruled out by a shoulder injury, Chilean Marcelo Salas sidelined and Marco Di Vaio still not ready to play a full 90 minutes, Juve coach Marcello Lippi will play Uruguayan Marcelo Zalayeta in attack alongside Alessandro Del Piero.

Former Parma striker Di Vaio is likely to start on the bench.

If Nedved fails to make it, Lippi has several options in midfield but would most likely ask Gianluca Pessotto to come in at left-back and allow Gianluca Zambrotta to push into midfield.

Frank de Boer is doubtful for Barcelona after suffering an ankle injury in Saturday's defeat at Villarreal.Sweden's Patrik Andersson will partner Carles Puyol at centre-back if De Boer does not recover.

Luis Enrique returns to the squad for the first time since tearing a muscle in his left leg in March but the midfielder will not be fit enough to start.

With Philip Cocu still out, coach Radomir Antic is likely to give Argentine playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme a place behind forwards Javier Saviola and Patrick Kluivert.
