Racing /News: John Oxx and Johnny Murtagh appeared to have a strong hand when the declarations appeared for yesterday's Cork meeting, and so it proved as the duo combined to land the two main events of the afternoon.

The brace was initiated in the feature of the day, the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Give Thanks Stakes with the favourite Juliette. The Irish Oaks fifth had to exert herself to get the better of stable mate Kiteflyer at the furlong pole and she may now cross the Irish Sea to contest the Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster.

Dossier also had to work hard to justify favourite status in the Listed King Charlemagne Platinum Stakes. Murtagh's mount was strongly pressed close home to hold off the strong finishing Twiggy's Sister who ran well to finish second.
