FREDERIC MICHALAK has been recalled to the France squad for next month’s Test against world champions South Africa in Toulouse. The outhalf has been handed a chance to impress with Lionel Beauxis out through injury.
Under-21 captain Alexandre Lapandry is also in the squad, but there is no place for centre Mathieu Bastareaud.
The 21-year-old has apologised for making up a story about being beaten up during June’s tour to New Zealand. He in fact sustained his injuries in a drunken fall in his hotel room.
France take on South Africa on November 13th before playing Samoa at the Stade de France on November 21st and New Zealand at Marseille’s Stade Velodrome on November 28th.
