FRANCIS FLOOD senior and junior may be the combination to follow at Downpatrick this afternoon when they can take the opening two events with Peace Time Girl and Glenballyma.

Peace Time Girl handled heavy ground well when opening her account over hurdles at Clonmel last month. She was never travelling well on her subsequent run at Limerick when beaten a long way behind Party Woman. That form is possibly best ignored and Peace Time Girl is preferred to Let Us Pray, a 10 lengths third to Party Woman at Leopardstown.

Glenballyma recovered from a mistake two out to beat Headbanger at Punchestown and then performed reasonably well behind Tryfirion at Naas. She will need to be at her best in the Moyola Matress Handicap Hurdle if she is to concede the weight to The Third Man, who caused an upset at Down Royal on St Patrick's Day.

Wild Venture, third behind Indestructible at Clonmel on Saturday, should not he overstretched to take the Frank Magee Memorial EBF Beginners Chase for the John Fowler stable.

Twenty horses from the Hong Kong stable of top French trainer Patrick Biancone were suspended from racing for seven days yesterday after testing positive for drugs.

The Royal Hong Kong Jockey Club said that samples drawn from 20 of 56 horses from Biancone's stable showed traces of dembrexine, a nasal decongestant.

Although the drug is a legitimate authorised medication, its presence contravenes Hong Kong rules that horses must be medication free seven days before a race.

The Jockey Club said entries from Biancone's stable would continue to be accepted but they would be subject to pre-declaration, pre-race and post-race tests.

The tests were requested by Biancone, one of Hong Kong's most successful trainers, after the drug was detected in two of his horses earlier this month.

How the horses received the medication is a mystery.
