DUNDALK'S poor run continued with this defeat by Cork after a poor game watched by only about 300 spectators at Oriel Park yesterday.
Neither team showed much enthusiasm for this game, but perhaps it was deserving that the visitors snatched victory with a late winner from John Caulfield.
Cork were a little unlucky not to have been leading at the interval as Pat Morley found the net just before half-time when he hit a Doran Shaw cross to the net but was ruled off-side.
Justice was done, however, as Morley supplied the pass for Caulfield to score in the 84th minute. Caulfield missed a chance some time earlier when Dundalk keeper, John Connolly, stopped his shot with his legs.
