Richie Coughlan shot a disappointing second round of 75 yesterday in the Spring International at the Castle Pines Club in Colorado. Lightening again delayed play, with first round leader Vijay Singh leading on 24 points after 13 holes on his second round .
Coughlan was out of bed at 5.15 yesterday morning to complete his first round, which had been delayed by storms.
His score under the unique modified stableford scoring system was then eight points and by the end of the round he was on nine points after shooting a 68.
Straight back out to the 10th tee, Coughlan's form suddenly deserted him as he started off with bogey, birdie, double bogey and dropped another shot at the 14th. He managed to complete the remaining 13 holes in level par, but stood on only seven points.
