GARRYOWEN staged a remarkable comeback to beat Cork Constitution and move into third place in the first division. The Cork side got off to a cracking start when full back Kenny Murphy touched down in the corner after only two minutes and Ronan O'Gara converted.
O'Gara landed a superb penalty after nine minutes and had another penalty after 20 minutes.
Garryowen, at this stage, were outclassed, and O'Gara dropped a goal to make it 16-0 after 25 minutes.
But O'Gara failed with two penalty chances, and just on half time Jack Clarke sparked the Garryowen revival with a superb try which was converted by Killian Keane to make it 16-7.
Garryowen dominated the second half, but they had to wait until 60 minutes to get in front when Keane landed a second penalty.
David Wallace clinched the Garryowen win with a superb second try, having scored the first 17 minutes into the first half.
Keane converted to give Garryowen a win they deserved.
