National League / Premier Division / Longford Town 2 Bohemians 4: Bohemians turned in a super display at Flancare Park last night as Longford's eight-match unbeaten league run came to an end while Glen Crowe and Dave Morrison grabbed two goals each for the champions.
Sean Francis kept Longford in the contest with two goals but there was no doubting Bohemians' superiority.
The Dubliners were in front after seven minutes when Morrison capitalised on Longford defender Alan Murphy's generosity to fire them ahead. However, the champions were rocked by the 12th minute dismissal of defender Paul McNally. Further woe was to follow when Francis headed home Alan Kirby's 18th-minute free-kick.
The influential Crowe stabbed home his first goal in the 25th minute and blasted home again just a minute after half-time. Longford's Darragh Sheridan was sent off in the 57th minute. Six minutes from time Francis scored his second goal.
Longford captain Barry Ferguson was dismissed following his second yellow card in the 88th minute.
