Bohemians - 3 St Patrick's Athletic - 0 Goals from Dave Morrison, Glen Crowe and Paul Keegan ensured Bohemians ended the season with a win to bring to an end their four-game win-less streak as St Patrick's Athletic were beaten 2-0 at Dalymount Park yesterday.

Six games ago, Bohemians were top of the table, but defeats at the hands of Shelbourne and Drogheda United and a draw at home to Longford Town meant that the title went to Shelbourne and Bohemians were left with nothing to play for in the final week of the season.

St Patrick's Athletic too, had nothing to play for having seen their Intertoto Cup dreams go up in smoke on Thursday night as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Longford, and, given the circumstances, it was always likely that this game would lack the usual gusto of a Dublin derby.

But there was still plenty of action of note as both sides looked eager to end the season on a winning note.

After a dull opening, the only goal of the first half arrived in the 32nd minute when a mazy dribble by Bobby Ryan ripped apart the visitors defence and he passed the ball to the unmarked Morrison who coolly slotted the ball home from 10 yards.

St Patrick's could have drawn level moments later when an untimely slip by Paul McNally allowed Paul Rose advance on goal but Seamus Kelly saved.

Then, with 10 minutes remaining, Bohemians sealed the victory when Crowe finished with a side-footed effort from the edge of the area after a clever one-two with Damien Lynch had put him through. And in the final minute, Keegan headed home a Lynch cross to make it 3-0.
