Sussex Stakes winner Among Men heads the British challenge for tomorrow's Group One Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville. The Michael Stoute-trained colt (to be ridden by Michael Kinane) is joined by Godolphin's Cape Cross (Frankie Dettori) and Mark Johnston's Lend A Hand (Darryll Holland).
Also in the line-up is Japanese raider Taiki Shuttle who is bidding for his seventh straight win. He aims to follow up compatriot Seeking The Pearl's history-making victory in last Sunday's Prix Maurice de Gheest, a first Japanese Group One win in Europe.
Taiki Shuttle is the mount of Yukio Okabe. Fellow Japanese rider Yutaka Take, the country's champion jockey, partners the outsider Miss Berbere.
The Eastern flavour to the race is enhanced by the presence of leading Hong Kong-based rider Stanley Chin on German challenger Waky Nao. But the Aga Khan's French 1000 Guineas winner Zalaiyka will be absent because of a lung infection.
