Danish discount retailer Normal continues to grow its Irish presence. Having only recently agreed a deal to occupy the former Iceland premises at Northside Shopping Centre in Dublin, the popular brand has signed for the 712 sq m (7,664 sq ft) unit vacated by fashion retailer New Look at Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
Karl Stewart of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord in the transaction while Chris Bogle of Bogle Estates acted on behalf of Normal.
Founded in Denmark in 2013, Normal now has more than 980 stores across Europe, with Ireland representing one of its newest growth markets.
The brand is known for offering branded everyday essentials at fixed low prices, presented in a maze‑style store layout designed to create a “treasure hunt” shopping experience. Normal stocks about 5,500 ‘permanent’ products and adds more than 100 new items to its line-up weekly, covering beauty, personal care, household goods, snacks and trending lifestyle products.
