Madam, - I feel it is time to review some of the phrases and terms in current use. For example:
TD: One who fights so hard to get a seat in the Dáil and then rarely sits in it.
Celtic Tiger: Short period in Ireland's economic history when a few rich people made a huge amount of money and most of us pretended we were rich and fooled ourselves into thinking we were making money.
Computers: Utilities originally designed to make life simpler but which now only make it shorter.

Minister: Public servant formerly in charge of a Government Department which now only makes excuses for it.
Finally, The Future: Once something to look forward to but now something to be put off as long as possible. - Yours, etc.,
