Swedes say No to euro

Madam, - You are correct in your assertion that the No vote in the Swedish referendum "must be fully respected there and in the rest of the European Union" (Editorial, September 15th).

Here in Ireland, we can only hope that democracy will some day reach a level of maturity whereby its citizens are afforded the same respect when they reject a referendum proposal. - Yours, etc.,
