Madam, - Observations have been made recently on the rise of the "intolerance of liberalism". The phenomenon cannot be in doubt if John Bruton is being attacked for pointing out that a sex education leaflet aimed at 12- to 13-year-olds should mention that it is against the law for them to have sex.
It can hardly be termed "sex education" if it leaves out this reasonably salient and rather uncomplicated fact. - Yours, etc.,
