Sir, - Those who worship slavishly at the altar to privatisation cannot then take diminished responsibility for the decay in the social fabric of a society it causes. We have all witnessed with horror the excesses that this can bring in the market economy as practised under Thatcher and the resultant division that it caused. Blair has recently realised that once a state company has been sold off it can not then be renationalised.
