Madam, - Dr Fergus O'Ferrall's article (September 25th) underlined the importance of people becoming more involved at every stage of the decision-making process in the healthcare system in order to achieve a system fair to all.
In particular, he cited the potential role the community and voluntary healthcare sector, which is composed of some 600 organisations, could play as part of this process.
To that end, the Wheel, which is a support and advocate for Community and Voluntary organisations, including those in the voluntary healthcare sector, is organising an open one-day seminar on November 17th on public and patient participation in healthcare.
The aim is to investigate how we can put people at the centre of healthcare policy for the good of all. - Yours, etc.,
