Madam, - Further to recent letters, I too wish to jump on the Punchestown gravy train. I work in an inner-city Christian Brothers school which has no sporting facilities whatever. Despite this, other teachers and I take a total of 11 teams in soccer, Gaelic and hurling matches. We leave the inner city to play our "home" matches in either Ballyfermot or Crumlin. The boys usually walk there or get a bus as we don't have a minibus. So I am proposing that we change the CBS bit of our name to Centre for Breeding of Stallions. This way we should get the gymnasium promised to us more than three years ago.
Apparently we are still on the famous list published by the Department of Education and Science. We would, of course, still keep the children around if only to walk the horses round the new gym. - Yours, etc.,
PAUL MacENTEE, Boden Park, Dublin 16.
