Madam, - What a pleasure it was, for those of us who attended the splendid Vogler Spring Festival in Sligo, to hear great chamber music performed at the highest level. The participation of the Irish musicians was a particular cause of joy and pride: Barry Douglas (piano), Cliona Doris (harp), Patricia Moynihan (flute) and Dermot Dunne (accordion).
We are indebted to the Vogler Quartet and the organisers of the festival for devising such interesting and exciting programmes. May the festival flourish in the future and may it continue to receive the support it so richly deserves. - Yours, etc.,
