Sir, - If Mr O'Donoghue wishes to avoid acting inconsistently, it is imperative that he ask the US government to ensure the immediate deportation of all illegal Irish emigrants who are currently residing within its borders.
However, I would like to advise him that should a delay materialise, he may find that this task has become unnecessary as the increasing intolerance and inhumanity of the present Government could well suffice to furnish our expatriates with grounds for political asylum. - Yours, etc.,
