Madam, – Well done to Sarah Harney for her excellent account of the reality of a scientist’s life (August 17th). It left me wondering why the Government (with the help of the media) continue to peddle the myth of science as a lucrative and stable career, when the opposite is so clearly the case? – Yours, etc,
