Bremerhaven - German rescue officials have located a small commercial aircraft at the bottom of the murky river where it crashed last Wednesday, police said yesterday. Eight of the nine people aboard the twin-engine propeller BAL Bremerhaven Airline plane are dead or missing after it crashed shortly after taking off from the northern town of Bremerhaven.
Rescue officials pulled three people from the icy river Weser soon after the crash but only one survived.
The remains of the other six passengers including a six-month-old baby and the wreckage of the plane lie about 10 metres underwater.
