Norman Williamson will not decide until tomorrow lunchtime whether to appeal against a four-day whip ban that could cost him dear over Christmas.
The jockey was found to have used his stick with excessive force aboard Josh Gifford's unplaced Mr Markham in the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham on Friday and was stood down for December 26, 27, 28 and 29.
"I need to talk to a few people in the morning to see where I stand," Williamson said this afternoon at Cork where he was successful on Nick Dundee.
Two of the major events Williamson would miss are the King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day, and the Coral Eurobet Welsh National at Chepstow the following day.
"Barring Cheltenham Festival week it's the biggest time of the season, it includes the King George and a lot at Leopardstown," he added.
