Manchester City have given First Division leaders West Brom the green light to open talks with Darren Huckerby after accepting an undisclosed bid for the striker.
Albion are looking to add to their strikeforce as they look to secure an instant return to the Premiership and also had a bid for Wigan front man Geoff Horsfield accepted yesterday.
Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace told the club's official website,
www.wba.co.uk: "We're pleased Manchester City have accepted our offer but it's not a done deal by any means."
