Scotland coach Berti Vogts has drafted in several Under-21 players to the squad for next Wednesday's friendly against Turkey in Dundee.

After elimination by Holland in last month's Euro 2004 playoffs, Vogts is already turning his attention to the qualification campaign for the 2006 World Cup.

"This match marks the first stage of our World Cup campaign, as it gives these players a chance to show what they can do," he said. "Our young players need international experience, and for those players not involved in the Champions League or UEFA Cup, this is a great opportunity to get that experience."

New faces include Coventry City goalkeeper Scott Shearer, Reading defender Graeme Murty and Doncaster Rovers midfielder Michael McIndoe.
