Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of over 20,000 litres of laundered fuel at Dublin Port this morning.
The fuel was intercepted by officers from Revenue's Customs Service in a truck and 12m refrigerated unit that was being exported out of the country.
Officers recovered 20 Intermediate Bulk Containers each containing in excess of 1,000 litres of laundered fuel, pumps and a fuel metering system.
Two men, one in his 30s from Northern Ireland and a second in his 50s from Co Louth, were questioned in relation to the seizure and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
