Gardaí investigating the deaths of Michael “Roly” Cronin (35) and James Maloney (26) in Dublin's north inner city last month have made three futher arrest today.
The three people range in age from their late teens to late 20s and were arrested in Ballymun as part of a planned operation at around 8.30am .
The three are being questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act at Coolock, Mountjoy and Ballymun garda stations and can be held for up to 72 hours.
The two victims were shot dead as they sat in a car in Summerhill, Dublin.
Mr Cronin died in the Mater hospital less than an hour after the gun attack, while Mr Maloney died in St James's Hospital two days later. Both victims had gone to meet an associate when the attack took place.
The suspect ran away. A revolver found under a car at nearby Gloucester Place was believed to have been used by the killer.
