South Korea's navy has fired warning shots after a North Korean ship briefly crossed over a disputed border in the Yellow Sea, South Korea said.
"We fired five shots at 11.53 a.m. (3.53 a.m. Irish time) and the North Korean ship returned at 11.58 a.m.," it said in a statement released today.
No casualties were reported in the second such incident in a week. A spokesman for the Joint Chiefs of Staff said the North Korean vessel was not military - but declined to elaborate.
