Shelbourne have returned to the top of the Eircom League Premier Division, courtesy of a one nil win over St patrick's Athletic at Richmond Park tonight.

A 29th minute Colm Foley own goal proved the deciding factor for Shels and with Bohemians being held at home by Waterford, the Dubliners now lead their fierce rivals by a solitary point at the top of the table.

Glen Crowe's 13th minute strike looked enough for Bohs to stay in pole position but the were rocked by a Neil Fenn goal 18 minutes from time.

UCD did their chances of survival in the top flight the power of good with a two nil win at home to Derry City.
