Scotland flanker Martin Leslie must now wait 24 hours for the verdict of the Rugby World Cup judiciary after being cited for foul play.
The New Zealand-born 31-year-old will face a disciplinary panel tomorrow after being pulled up by citing commissioner John West for an alleged kneeing incident on an unnamed USA player.
The Edinburgh back-rower came on as a second-half substitute in the 39-15 Pool B victory over America in Brisbane after Jon Petrie was injured.
Leslie's alleged indiscretion is believed to have happened shortly after his introduction in the 53rd minute. He is the second player in the tournament to be cited after Fiji winger Rupeni Caucaunibuca was banned for two games after punching France flanker Olivier Magne.
Scotland - en route to Sydney to prepare for a crucial clash against France on Saturday - are not, as yet, making any comment on the issue as they are waiting to review a video tape of the match to discover the identity of the USA player involved.
But they face an anxious wait to discover Leslie's fate as their back-row options are already stretched with Andrew Mower having been ruled out of the tournament with a knee injury and Petrie doubtful with a shoulder problem sustained in the game against the USA.
