Ryanair announced its now traditional Autumn seat sale today. The budget airline is giving away two million "free" seats in the hope of enticing travellers on short city breaks during what is the quietest period of the year for air travel.
The seats are available on flights from Ireland to the UK and from Britain to Europe.
Passengers will still have to fork out for local airport taxes and landing charges. The offer begins at midnight tonight until midnight on Monday September 15th for travel between September 23rd and December 17th.
There are 500,000 seats available day on routes from Ireland to Britain.
Announcing the offer today, Ryanair's deputy chief executive, Mr Michael Cawley described the seat sale as a perfect opportunity for people to "bum" their way for free across Europe on an Autumn break.
He said the sale represents a saving of £100 million to airline passengers.
