A fuel leak at one of the Esso tanks in Dublin Port has been cleaned up and a road adjacent to the port has been reopened.
Six units of the Dublin fire brigade were called to the scene on Dublin's North Wall just before 6 a.m. to deal with the leak. A spokesman for Dublin Port said the leaked fuel was contained within a catchment basin beside the tank purpose-built to handle such incidents.
The cause of the leak is believed to have been a faulty pipe. The nearby Alexander Road which was partially closed to traffic has now reopened.
