London - Plans to link two of Britain's most important art galleries with a riverboat service along the Thames were unveiled yesterday by the Tate Gallery.
Its director of national programmes, Mr Sandy Nairne, said that the service - which is expected to be used by up to 150,000 visitors a year - would start when the Tate's new gallery of modern art, to be housed at the former Bankside power station, opens in May next year.
