Real Madrid president Florentino Perez today confirmed the Spanish club are interested in Manchester United`s assistant manager Carlos Queiroz as a possible successor to Vicente del Bosque.
The Portuguese coach has been hotly tipped in the Spanish press as the man wanted by Real to take over the vacant manager`s position at the Santiago Bernabeu following the departure of Vicente del Bosque.
In a press conference today, Perez said: "He (Quieroz) is one of the people we are interested in. His profile fits exactly with what we are looking for."
Queiroz would be following in the footsteps of England captain David Beckham if he did join Real. The England captain has agreed a £25million switch to Real.
