A Police Service of Northern Ireland officer was injured after a patrol car came under attack by youths in Belfast last night.
The officer suffered injuries to her face and body after a gang hurled bricks and other missiles at the vehicle on East Bridge Street in the Markets area of the city.
The attack happened shortly before 8.30 p.m. She was taken to hospital where she received stitches and glass from the broken window of the patrol car was removed from her eye.
Police at Lisburn Road Station have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
